While we may explore past experiences when they're relevant, the focus is on the present and equipping you with tools you can continue to use long after therapy has ended.
My aim isn't simply to help you cope with today's difficulties - it's to help you understand yourself more deeply, build emotional resilience, and feel more confident navigating whatever life brings next. The goal is for you to become your own therapist.
In our work together, we'll combine curiosity with compassion. We'll look at unhelpful patterns without judgement, understand why they've developed, and find realistic, manageable ways to move forward.

Aims
A SAFE SPACE for
Exploring a New Path
Therapy should help you make sense of what's happening now, while also helping you build the confidence and skills to move forward.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) starts from the idea that our thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and behaviours are all connected.
Sometimes we can find ourselves caught in patterns that keep us feeling anxious, low or overwhelmed. A situation happens, we make sense of it in a particular way, our body reacts, our emotions follow, and before we know it we're responding in ways that make life even harder.
Together, we'll explore these patterns to understand what's keeping them going. By making sense of the connections, we can begin to create new ways of thinking, responding and coping that feel more helpful and more in line with the life you want to live.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) adds another important layer. Many people are incredibly hard on themselves, especially when they're struggling. Instead of asking, "What's wrong with me?", you can learn how to silence your self-critic and ask "What happened to me, and what do I need right now?". It helps us develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with ourselves without losing sight of practical change.

When can CBT help?
CBT has been studied and researched for many decades. It has been shown to help for a wide range of difficulties, including:
-
Anxiety and excessive worry
-
Low mood and depression
-
Stress and burnout
-
Panic attacks
-
Social anxiety and other phobias
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
-
Difficulties with self-esteem or self-criticism
-
Anger or managing strong emotions
-
Living with persistent pain, fatigue, or long-term health conditions
-
Eating disorders including binge eating, bulimia and other disorders.

It can be difficult to know when to reach out, but you don't need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis.
Many people come because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just notice they're caught in patterns that no longer serve them.
