Frequently Asked Questions

First Sessions
What happens during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your goals and see how we can work together in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Do I need to prepare anything?

There is no formal preparation required. Just bring yourself and an open mind. If you have specific questions or goals, feel free to mention them, but we will navigate the conversation together.

Can I try before I commit?

Yes, I offer a free 15-minute introductory meeting - it's a quick, confidential way to discuss your goals, check logistics, and get a feel for my personality and approach before our first session.

Confidentiality & Online Sessions
Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice. Everything discussed remains private, within the strict ethical guidelines of my professional bodies - COSCA and BABCP. We can discuss these limits in detail during our first meeting.

How do online sessions work?

Online sessions are conducted via a secure video platform. You just need a private space and a stable internet connection. Many clients find this a convenient way to access support from their own home.

Fees & Duration
What are your fees and cancellation policy?

Online sessions: £45

In person: £50

Counselling should be accessible and affordable for everyone, so I reserve a small number of places for concession rates. Please get in touch if you'd like to explore this option.

I operate a 24-hour cancellation policy to ensure fairness and availability for all clients.

How long does therapy usually last?

The duration of therapy is unique to everyone. Some find 6-12 sessions sufficient for specific goals, while others prefer longer support for deeper exploration. We will review our progress regularly together.
